It is possible to log QSOs without entering a Band which is a required ADIF field for QSL matching on POTA, SOTA, LoTW, QRZ, and other sites.
Same for Frequency, but frequency is not a required field.
I think that depends upon the template you are using.
To my knowledge, the POTA template will not allow you to save a QSO unless you select a band.
