Intermittent QSO Mapping

After three POTA Activations in the last five days, the first log showed QSO Maps, while the last two did not.
What do I need to do to get QSO Mapping to work every time, please?

Look through your logs and make sure the grids are recorded for the contacts you made. As I understand it, the mapping function bases this off the grid from the QRZ lookup done when entering a call. If this is turned off or you have no data connection when logging it will not record the other station’s grid so no mapping.

I experienced a similar scenario. I have noticed of that if I do not have a network connection, thus HAMRS is unable to look up the call sign, it will not populate the map grid field. In that case I had to manually populate the grid for each contact later.
