So, without an HTML subscription, pulling info from QRZ fails to populate grid squares. My idea is what if HAMRS had a stepped/tier system, where it would first pull all the info possible from QRZ, then, if there were fields in the current QSO log left empty (like grid square), HAMRS could then try and pull info from HamDB or HamQTH to fill in the missing information?
I switched my info-pull over to the HamDB so I could easily get grid squares (I simply like having a visual representation of my QSO’s) which has worked, but rarely works for foreign DX stations and fails to fill the name, QTH, country, grid square, etc. fields.
I think a system like this would be really valuable in filling out all the possible information one would desire for their log.
Just a thought!
