I’m a new user, so maybe there’s an obvious workaround… I’m using the android version and I notice that the screen keyboard that I’m using tries to auto-complete/auto-correct the callsign field when entering a new contact. If I don’t notice this, it turns ugly 
I realize this behavior could be highly variable depending upon the version of android, particular keyboard being used, etc. I don’t know the Android development environment or APIs at all, but I’m wondering if there’s a “hint” you can attach to that field to discourage this behavior?
I can see arguments both ways; if you’re logging contacts with buddies, perhaps the auto- complete is a feature? However, in the circumstance where you’re worried about “DUPS” (like contests, etc.) probably you don’t want that behavior.
