I have ben suing the generic logbook lately for logging DX contacts. I have noticed that when I am logging a DX contact a lot of times do not show up that they were found in the lookup bar. However, they are valid call signs.

Maybe there’s no QRZ entry for the callsign (or whatever you are using for callsign lookups)? While the US entries in QRZ are built from the FCC database and should have 100% coverage, there’s a lot of countries where no such database is available.
QRZ probably has the largest data set since hams in many countries self-register, even if their country’s data aren’t imported automatically.
The other lookup services have a much more limited list of included countries.
Of course the drawback with QRZ is having to be a paid subscriber to pull in grid squares.
I made 2 contacts doing a POTA into Europe this weekend and both were in QRZ but didn’t come up in HAMRS as valid call signs

Did they happen to use a prefix or were they just the assigned call signs? Or is it possible your Internet connection was inconsistent and didn’t pull them in at the time? You might try hitting the gear icon and looking them up again to see if that works.
I have had the same thing happen AE7UT on both QRZ lookup & Ham DB and yes, I had good internet connection. I am using the Generic logbook. It has even happened with my own call sign Whan testing the look up.
I had pretty a pretty solid internet on my phone.
I did try the “gear” with no success
BTW the second contact was actually TM2024OG the station from the olympics
