Sometimes after a POTA activation I like to send an email with some information about the park and the activation and my equipment.
Is there a way we could have each contact’s QRZ email saved in one of the other slots in the adi file? Looking at QRZs xml data it looks like the email is something that can be pulled down. This would save me a ton of time!
Neat idea. It would only work for QRZ subscribers, but seems feasible. There is a field in the ADIF format specification for the contact’s email address.
I suspect this would get limited use due to the subscription requirement, so perhaps building it as an optional display field would be a good way to do it. Hyperlinking to the default email client would be a nice added bonus.
