Beta Test the all new HAMRS

I’ve been working off and on as life allows to rebuilding HAMRS from the ground up. My main goal was to adopt a new system that would allow me to get builds/fixes/features out faster. I was really hamstrung with my previous system, especially on mobile builds.

I’m ready to let folks load test the new web-based version of HAMRS. Let’s talk about that for a second; There will still be native/mobile builds coming down the line for better offline support, it’s just easier to respond to bugs with the web app build for the next few weeks.

I see two accounts for you - look like you’re using the iCloud private email feature, but that means I can’t tell which one is ‘really’ you Do you have a sample of the ADIF from RUMLoggerNG I could look at?

Sorry. I accidentally setup a new account while I was riding in the car. Got too excited when I saw the post. The account I’m using is the “dashers-odious” account. If you have means of deleting the other, you’re welcome to. Here’s a portion of the log. The entire log is too many characters to post. I’m getting the same result with the partial log–there’s only one entry. The entry is the oldest one (KO7KOA).

Hey thanks that helped a ton! I deleted the other account, and pushed out a fixed that works with your ADIF file - You’ll need to refresh the browser to get the changes, but it’s live now.

Shields down on logger.hamrs.app doesn’t seem to make a difference. I did a quick test and it does work with Firefox. But not with Chrome (not a surprise, I guess).

Running on Firefox on Mint, I noticed a few small things (I use the program for hunting–haven’t activated any parks yet):

In the POTA Spots view, it would be a bit less jarring to me if the frequency showed a minimum of 3 digits in the fractional part (e.g., 14.280 instead of 14.28)
There’ s a feature request in the forum to also include the location designator in the tabular view (e.g., US-OR). That would be a nice bit of extra information.
a very small note: the local time in spots is shown on a 24 hour clock but includes the AM/PM designator. It’d be nice to be able to switch between 12 hour (with the AM/PM) and 24 hour (without)
a feature comment: the POTA spot page’s mode selections of PHONE and DATA are useful meta categories
The station information section appears to clear fields such as Power, My Grid, My County, and My State when a QSO is saved rather than retaining them for the next QSO

Of these, only the last (the fields not being retained across QSOs) seemed really important to me.

I’ll give it more of a try when there are more stations available to hunt and will report back!

Will continue to punch through your list. I also could not replicate the sticky fields not being sticky, but I’ll try more browsers. You might try refreshing the app, since I’m pushing out a bunch of fixes. On mobile that might mean completely closing your browser.

It might be a problem with my local computer. I’m logged in to a VPN right now and oddly it will connect. There’s been something weird about my computer and not connecting to some services on my home network for a while now.

Thanks! The change also needs to be applied to the Table view. Also in the Table view, stations that are in the log need to be highlighted (already happens in the cards view).
